Feeding Ewes and Does Through Lambing and Kidding

Energy requirements in sheep and goats climb steeply in the last weeks of pregnancy and the start of lactation. If intake cannot keep pace, the risk of pregnancy toxaemia rises – a serious condition that endangers both the dam and her offspring.

Ewes and does carrying twins or triplets are most exposed: the growing uterus leaves less room for feed just as demand is highest, so a concentrated, easy-to-reach energy source becomes particularly valuable.

Gold Sheep & Goat Energy is formulated for this window, with an intake rate and mineral balance suited to small ruminants. It helps reduce the risk of pregnancy toxaemia and supports milk supply and the growth of lambs and kids after birth.

Offered free-choice from late pregnancy through the first six weeks of lactation, the bucket provides steady energy support without adding to the daily workload.
